COMMITMENT

It is the objective of ACT Scaffolding Services LTD to give high priority to the health, safety and welfare of its employees and to the public at large, as an integral part of its operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We have a statutory duty to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work for all employees.

Also our employees have a duty under the Health and Safety Regulations to avoid and prevent danger and injury to themselves or to others, by their actions and omissions. 

For The Management Of This Policy, We Will

  • Take such steps as may be necessary to ensure the health and safety of both employees and any other persons who may be affected be our acts or omissions.
  • Appoint competent people to help supervise and apply Health and Safety measures.
  • Provide relevant instructions, information and training  to enable our employees to work safely and efficiently.
  • Co-operate with others and provide information, as appropriate, in the interests of Health and Safety.
  • Ensure that adequate and competent supervision is always provided.
  • Ensure that our employees wear the required personal protective equipment, to the current standards.
  • Maintain a constant and continuing interest in health and safety mattes applicable to the Company's activities and for our management to set an example in safe behaviour.
  • To ensure adequate means of access and egress from all locations we may be working at.
  • Utilize the services of a Health and Safety consultant, when necessary.

Our Employees Agree

  • To co-operate with management in carrying out their statutory duties with the object of inducing and maintaining a high standard of safety performance.
  • To act both individually and collectively, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • To take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and all other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
  • To correctly use any protective equipment provided and by meeting statutory obligations.
  • To report incidents that have resulted in o may lead to injury or damage or an unhealthy workplace.
  • To adhere to company procedures and policies to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • To assist in the investigation of accidents with the object of introduction measures to prevent a recurrence.
